A small bubble with Great potential
You must have heard about micro-bubble in various places. Micro-bubble is basically an ultra-fine bubble, the diameter of which will be in terms of micrometers (About 50 microns). The size of human hair is about 70 microns and hence you can imagine how small a micro-bubble is.

Why Micro-bubble has attracted so much ?
Micro-bubbles are very small bubbles than the normal foam, now it is discovered that, these small bubbles have some special property which the large size bubbles doesn’t have. Now people have thought to take advantage of special properties of these micro-bubble which will be used in daily activities.

Following are various merits of Micro-bubble.
Extremely slow surface rising speed:
Since the volume of the micro-bubble is small compared to normal bubble, its buoyancy is also less, so it reaches the surface very slowly. Hence it levitates in water for long time.
Easily soluble in water:
Micro-bubbles are so small that the distance between the centres of the neighbouring bubbles is very less. So they are very easily soluble in water compare to normal bubbles.
Easily get absorbed by the under water substance:
Since micro-bubbles are negatively charged, they get easily absorbed by the positively charged under water substances.
Bubbles are not easily breakable:
Since the micro-bubbles are negatively charged, coalescence and absorption between the bubbles is less likely to occur. While marinating their small size, they get dispersed uniformly in the liquid.

Micro-bubbles are used in various fields such as:
Waste water treatment: If the micro-bubble is generated at the bottom of the tank which contains populated water, then these bubbles get absorbed into the dirt particles and make them float on the surface of the tank, which can be easily removed to get the dirt free water.
This process is generally called pressure floatation process (Dissolved Air Flotation).
Washing: The thing which has to be washed is kept in the water tank and the micro-bubbles are generated.
These negatively charged micro-bubbles will reach the detail parts of the thing and get absorbed by the dirt particles and make them float on the surface. The dirt particles which are on the surface can be easily removed.
Personal Usages: Micro-bubbles water is used in bath tub and for washing scalp. If micro-bubble is generated in high density an anion will be generated. Moreover, a comfortable stimulus is given to skin with the shock wave which comes out at the time of disappearance of a bubble.
Farming: Micro-bubble water will play an active part in culture of an oyster and the hydroponics of a strawberry. Since the oxygen rich water is supplied directly to the plants growth will be remarkable increased.

What is a micro bubble?
Micro bubbles are miniature gas bubbles of less than 50 microns diameter in water. The micro bubbles, which mostly contain oxygen or air, can remain suspended in the water for an extended period
